Welcome to The Ecology Club and thank you for your time in checking out our site. The overall goal of www.EcologyClub.org is simply to provide a format that allows students to easily share their efforts to learn about and improve their environment within an informed and supportive community.
The News feeds are the RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds from the sources listed and filtered, when appropritate by items that realte to ecology and the environment. The news articles, in most cases, are updated daily and provide a wealth of information about what's going on in the world today as it relates to ecology.
Students are encouraged to review the news items regularly to be aware of what's going on to edify themselves and to share with others. News items can also provide inspiration for local efforts, wider participation and feed personal research projects.
As membership grows we expect to aid specific schools and their ecology clubs by providing content for their pages with our own RSS feed, support forums and ideas about getting the most out of their club. As we gorw we also hope to be able to assist them in fund raising by providing related ads on their pages with the specific shcool and club the beneficiary.
This blog, TheEcologyClub, will be used for general site information, tutorials on how to best use our tools and to solicit your input on how we might improve our service.
